This was an ambitious project designed to provide safe water, sanitation and training for one community and hundreds of students in its three schools.

Located in the rural community of Ametonoukondji (located 78 km east of Lomé), this project involved the drilling of a deep well, construction of eight latrines and a handwashing station. Two pump mechanics were trained in maintenance and repair. A water committee was formed to coordinate maintenance of sites, and the community was trained in hygiene and sanitation.

Public Primary School of Amoussime/C: 358 students will receive hygiene training and education.

Agbelouve Primary School (located 65 km north of Lomé, the capital city of Togo): this project focussed on providing eight latrines, handwashing station and health and hygiene training to 469 students.

Dadzie Primary School (located in Lomé): the school’s 847 students were trained on sanitation and hygiene. A deep well was drilled and 12 latrines refurbished. A handwashing station was built and a water committee put in place to raise funds for future maintenance and repairs. Two pump mechanics were trained.
