Ryan’s Well has been a consistent partner of POWER (Pastoralists Organization for Water and Environmental Research) since 2007.  POWER’s CEO Sammy Oleku and his staff act as a resource for us to determine the most immediate needs in various areas of Kenya, and to provide assistance to Maasai rural peoples in need of clean water.  By working with the communities directly, the work is done in an efficient and timely manner. Help us fund this project, and the Maasai people of Kenya will receive:

  • The construction of ten household ferro cement tanks in Loodariak
  • The construction of one 30,000 litre ferro cement tank at Olmeroi School
  • The construction of one 30,000 litre ferro cement tank at Nasaru Primary School
  • The construction of roofing and eaves required for all rainwater harvesting tanks
  • The training of ten CIG’s (Community Interest Groups) in water management and utilization
  • The training of the Olmeroi school population and community in water management and utilization
  • Hygiene and sanitation training program for ten CIG’s (approximately 100 women) as well as staff and students at Olmeroi School
  • Ongoing local monitoring and evaluation
