The Ryan’s Well family consists of a passionate Board of Directors, Staff, Advisers and Regional Partners who share Ryan’s belief that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. They provide a broad range of skills and insights, as well as a shared commitment to making the world a better place by delivering safe water and sanitation to those in need.

Ryan Hreljac, Founder and Outreach

Ryan is the founder of Ryan’s Well and has been fundraising for clean water projects since the age of six. He attended Kings College University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and graduated in 2014 with a Double Major in International Development Studies and Political Science. Although Ryan’s Well has always been a priority of his, he’s done several different jobs over the years. He’s worked as a Day Camp Coordinator for the North Grenville Municipal Centre, was in charge of deliveries for Tim Hortons, and even worked a brief stint in construction as a General Labourer. Now an official staff member of the Foundation, his main concentrations lie in project work and fund development. He is happy to return to his roots and continue to help spread the Ryan’s Well message of how you can make a difference at any age. You can reach him at ryan@ryanswell.ca

 Mark Hreljac, Program Manager

Mark Hreljac, a retired City of Ottawa Police Officer, is one of the original founders of the Ryan’s Well Foundation. Mark, heading our project committee on the Board of Directors, set up and managed the Ryan’s Well projects as a  volunteer for 7 years, before the foundations first full-time project manager was hired. Mark was then a part of the project committee until July of 2013, at which time he became the full-time project manager. He has travelled extensively to all of Ryan’s Well project areas since 2001.You can reach him at mark@ryanswell.ca

 

 

Stephanie Lapensee, Fund Development and Donor Stewardship

StephanieStephanie comes to Ryan’s Well Foundation after more than a decade leading aninfluential consulting firm specializing in fundraising, fund development, charity events, celebrity philanthropy, public relations as well as strategic planning throughout North America. She has worked with high profile activists and philanthropists as well as some of the most influential non-profit organizations in the world. Specializing in grassroots campaigns as well as interactive public awareness campaigns, Stephanie has built a strong arsenal of skill sets that allow her to tackle challenges with a unique outside of the box approach. She has also worked with major corporations and Fortune 500 companies in the development and re branding of their corporate social responsibility. Stephanie has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa, a Master’s Degree in Public Health and Social Politics from the EHESSas well as a Master’s Degree in Non-Profit Management from NYU. Connie Jensen, Administrative Officer

Originally a neighbour of the Hreljac’s, Connie Jensen began her career with Ryan’s Well as a volunteer. Now the Administrative Assistant, Connie aids with general enquiries, fields donations, and offers incredible support to the rest of the Ryan’s Well team.
